Bill Hofmann has more than 25 years of experience building and leading globally distributed teams that design, develop and deploy high-quality software for multimedia, communications, enterprise search, business process outsourcing, and customer support.

At Gracenote, Bill worked with Sony's Tokyo-based product planning and R&D teams to enhance, integrate and deploy media identification and enrichment technologies to Sony's consumer electronics portfolios, and to build strong ties between Gracenote and Sony engineering innovation teams. At Sonic/Roxio, Bill turned around the reputation of their China-based engineering organization. He was posted to Shanghai to work with local leadership and team to improve product development efficiency and innovation.

Previously, Bill served as Chief Technologist at Aveo Inc., a provider of pre-emptive technical support and marketing software to companies such as Dell and HP. Bill earned his BS, MS, and Advanced Engineer degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He has received three patents for cloud-based technical support.
